EIZO
EIZO’s FlexScan L685EX is made to meet the specialized display requirements of professional graphic design and medical imaging. In particular, it exceeds CRT capabilities in the critical area of color rendition by including advanced functions like gamma correction, color space emulation, and independent 6-color control. At the same time it offers all the recognized advantages found among EIZO’s flat panel monitors — the SlimEdge thin bezel design, space-efficient mounting options, builtin power unit, low power consumption and maximized display area in multi-panel configurations. Whether judged on practicality or performance, the FlexScan L685EX presents accustomed CRT users with more reasons than ever to make the switch. The FlexScan L685EX features an advanced dual domain IPS panel with high brightness (250 cd/m2) and contrast ratio (400:1), and wide viewing angles (170° horizontal and vertical) that minimize color shift from edge to edge. The desktop stand has a vertical adjustment range of 100 mm, tilt and swivel angles are 40° and 70° respectively, and the screen can be viewed in either landscape or portrait mode. For smoother and more accurate gradations of color, the FlexScan L685EX uses an EIZO-developed ASIC to adjust gamma values with unprecedented precision, so that even subtle midtones are displayed correctly. Hue and saturation can both be controlled independently for each primary (R, G, B) and secondary (C, M, Y) color. In addition, EIZO’s original Fine Contrast function offers six separate modes (Text, Picture, Movie, Custom, sRGB and External), featuring adjustable settings for brightness, color temperature, gamma and saturation. This bundled software lets you handle all OSD functions via the mouse or keyboard, adjust gamma values manually, and operate WindowMovie mode to adjust the brightness of foreground/ background windows independently. In addition, the program can emulate the color characteristics of other CRT or LCD monitors, ensuring consistency in multi-panel displays, and also emulate color spaces such as NTSC, HDTV and sRGB.
