EIZO
“EcoView” embodies EIZO’s concept of combining ergonomic and environmental features for an economical result. An EcoView monitor delivers increased comfort, reduced environmental burden, and ultimately lower running costs. It is ideal for corporate and government facilities as well as small offices and home offices that are concerned with the environment but require a high-quality monitor.
EIZO’s EcoView Sense feature unites convenience with energy savings by ensuring that the monitor automatically conserves power when it is not in use. EcoView Sense is an integrated presence sensor that prompts the monitor to switch to power save mode when it does not detect your presence for 40 seconds, and then resume normal operation when you return. To prevent the screen from reactivating when it shouldn't, EcoView Sense differentiates between your presence and a still object like an empty chair or general office activity in the background.
This monitor debuts an innovative, compact design that reduces the number of internal components. The FlexScan EV2023W is 48% thinner and 41% lighter than the body of a previous 20" widescreen model. This allows the monitor to be shipped in a smaller container which uses up to 100% recycled material.
EIZO introduces two new ergonomic stands: the highly-versatile FlexStand (shown below) and the space-saving TriStand. Both stands offer tilt, swivel and height adjustment. The FlexStand also offers portrait rotation, laptop-like screen placement, and a maximum 225 mm range of height adjustment. Its innovative, bearing-less design reduces mechanical wear and the amount of torque required to adjust height. A quick release feature allows for easy monitor reconfiguration.
An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the monitor measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by up to 40% compared to operating the monitor with Auto EcoView turned off and set to the default factory brightness of 100%.
When the monitor’s power save mode and off timer function are set, it consumes less than 1.5 watts of power, and when turned off via the main power switch, it consumes no electricity at all.
